The American Heart Association conducted studies that stated animals, dogs, cats, or any kind of domestic animals can actually increase a person’s lifespan because: they get folks out of the house, daily exercise, keeps the mind active, and meeting new people. But most importantly – pets help reduce stress and very possibly lower blood pressure.

Pets may do more than offer companionship, they could help older adults live longer, healthier lives.
